Class Options
To insure the best experience and class dynamics, students will be be grouped in classes according to both grade level and prior experience. The general guidelines are as follows:
- EV3 L1 - groups appropriate for new students as well as those with some previous experience, grades (3-6)
- FLL Focus - concentrated efforts on improving robot designs and programming strategy for the fall FLL competition (4-7)
- RoboCup - Design, construct & program robots to solve the RoboCup Rescue Lines , Advanced programming (5+)
- Intro to Arduino - Introduction to electronics through Arduino, DIY maker activities, C programming (5+)
- Fractal Robots - Design & construct robot plotters, learn basic fractal math and programming (6+ Admittance by instructor)
- Projects Group - Small team/individual projects with design, construction and programming. (5+)
- Robot Olympics - Design/build robots: fastest, strongest, steepest climb, most accurate, etc. prior experience (4-8)
- Robots & Art - Investigate interesting ways robots can be used to reveal math and create art. Includes robotics, Scratch programming, geometric constructions, Artbots, kinetic sculptures. Prior experience, grades (3-6)
- Scratch Programming - Introduction to computer programming using the Scratch language, block-icon based (3-5)
- Intro to Python - Computer programming with Python, a great introduction to text based programming (5+)
- Tank Bots - Design/build tank specific robots, prior experience, grades (4-8)
- Walker Bots - Design/build walking specific robots, prior experience, grades (4-8)
- Mecanum Bots - Design, build & program mecanum wheel robots. Challenging programming (5+)
